Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for 2026 benefits begins on October 20th and ends on November 7th.

Key Considerations for Open Enrollment

“If I want to keep the same benefits, do I have to do anything?”

Yes.

Did you know that our Find Your Fit (comprehensive benefits offering) adds tremendous value to your total compensation? For every CCSD employee, it adds close to 50% or more to your pay. So, here are some key considerations everyone needs to make during Open Enrollment each year - along with the resources we've created to assist you in making a decision. You can also watch a video about the key considerations HERE (coming soon).

  • SHBP rates are rising about 12%. Anthem HMO is roughly $20/mo for single, $50 for ee+sp, and $67 for family coverage. Thinking about switching to a lower-cost plan? We’ll help you compare options, check wellness credits, and eliminate tobacco surcharges.

  • FSAs are a tool to get Uncle Sam to help you bear some of the cost of health care, including your out-of-pocket expenses for dental, vision, and dependent day care for both children and elders.

The limits are much higher for 2026: $3,100 for a health FSA and $7,500 for a dependent care FSA (a 50% improvement!).

  • Did you know our Short-Term Disability plan costs less as your Sick Leave balance grows?

Have you earned more days this past year? See how much you could save by adjusting your plan. Plus, we continue your pay for six weeks after a baby - disability covers all types of disabilities, but it is not needed for a typical delivery.

  • Even if you’ve tried our official service provider before, much has changed on the student loan front. Now is a good time to take a fresh look. Get a free loan review with GotZoom!

If you have a Federal loan, visit www.gzenroll.com/clarke, or call 1-833-468-9666.  It’s free, and you may be pleasantly surprised.

  • Starting in January, we’ll begin working directly with EyeMed.  This change will mean lower rates and improved benefits, and we’ll have the same EyeMed provider network we’ve been using.

Look out for “Network Plus” providers. Not only will they waive the usual copay on your exams, but your allowance for frames and contacts will increase substantially!
